If you are a busy person and use PIMs a lot, then you must wish you could have access to your tasks and appointments stored in your calendar everywhere. Now Google Calendar is a very good service and can be accessed from anywhere. And now that Google’s Android is becoming so popular, it’s bound to be used more and more.

So, if you are using Google Calendar and Thunderbird, you can sync your calendars between the two. Here’s how:

Step 1: Download and install Lightning add-on for Thunderbird. Lightning is a calendar add-on that brings the much needed PIM features to Thunderbird.

Step 2: Now Install Provider for Google Calendar add-on. This add-on adds the necessary features that are required for synchronizing the calendars.

Step 3: Now login to your Google Account and go to Google Calendar. Select the calendar that you want to synchronize. Click on the small arrow beside the name of the calendar and click on Calendar settings.

No it doesn’t work with tasks. Seems google does not provide a proper API for working with tasks, that’s why the feature has not been implemented.
